anyone here have a EU passport because their parent(s) are european?

I think you should be able to apply for an EU passport if your father is a registered citizien of Demark.

Because I am registered as both a British (was born here) and Italian (my father is Italian) citizien I can apply for and carry two passports. At the moment I have an Italian passport but I will applying for a British passport for when I go to the far east later this year.

...anyways, found some info from this site:

Canadians wishing to obtain a European Passport must contact the Embassy or the consular office of the Member State in question to find out if they qualify for citizenship in that country and therefore able to receive a European Passport.

The cost of obtaining a passport varies from 10 to 100 $ Canadian as well as the length of its validity (usually 5 or 10 years) comes under the competence of the issuing Member State.

Hope that helps.

When I was in the army, I had to spend about one month in a military hospital (allergy). There was this guy who had UK/Finland dual-citizenship. If he wanted to keep his finnish passport, he had to come to Finland and go through the military-training. Poor guy didn't know a word of finnish when he arrived here, but he learned quick 🙂. He knew practically all finnish curses 😀!

Always the first thing to learn about foreign language 😉

<< interesting, i guess ill have to call the Danish consulate >>

Yep that would be the best step to take 🙂

Funny you should say that. Every time I go over to Italy I have to obtain a military draft exemption certificate otherwise they would arrest me at the border and drag me into the army for their compulsory service :disgust:

I don't know much Italian but I can think of better ways of learning the language than whilst in an Italian army barracks 🙂
