i have had like 9 moles removed. 1 on the neck, 2 on the scalp, 4 on the back, 2 on the stomach. the shot hurts the worst and depending on the area is how much it will scar. for a year or two they will be noticable unless it is on your face or somewhere where they are super careful. otherwise it wont tan and no hair will grow from it.

Several, covered under my insurance. I had a mole on my face that the doctor wanted to biopsy, so they sent me to a plastic surgeon/dermatologist who would minimize risk of scarring. Another on on my forearm got hacked out and I actually have both a scar and an indentation where it was savagely removed ;) The worst one, however, was on the bottom of my little toe... I'll spare you the gory story.

In my wife's case, we're talking about moles and there was one on her face and one on her shoulder...both required stitches. They dissolved and/or fell out within a week or two. And insurance paid for all of it regardless of cancer risk, and covered my skin tag too - BCBS PPO coverage.

they gave me a tiny shot of something and i didn't feel anything, he sliced it right off with a scalpel in the doctor office

i don't think there is a scar, it is on my back/shoulder so i cannot see it

Same here.

Yup, skin cancer....

they go to get medically examined to test if it contained cancer...assuming it was not removed for cosmetical reasoning.

I got a one that is the size of this: (_)
I got it off by laser w/o pain remover
It hurts a lot because they have to do it for long periods of time (5 seconds) a few times, and you have to go back to get it fully off
There might be a scar - depends (put suntaon lotion on your spot after you get it removed)

When I was younger, my mom took me to the hospital while I was visiting China. They froze 2 moles off, it hurt like a mofo. But I was young and probably more senstive to pain.
