Never had to thankfully. Are they really strict with physical contact and bringing things in? I imagine I'd be pretty uncomfortable just being there, then again whoever I'm visiting would have it 100x worse. Meh.. just curious, what happened in Oz is all I really have to go on and I'm pretty sure it's not exactly like that in the real world.
 
I visited a friend at the detention center. It was setup so there was no physical contact. There was a thick piece of glass between you, and you talked through telephones.
