Anyone here ever try eating fried eggs with rice and soy sauce?

Yep, absolutely. It's one of my clean out the fridge specials, since I usually don't eat the white rice that comes with Chinese takeout. I usually toss it in a pan to reheat along with some soy sauce and whatever leftover vegetables and/or meat I have around. Then top with an egg - I usually go poached. The yolk makes a nice sauce.

I'm Italian too. Leftover starch + eggs transcends cultural boundaries 🙂

I like using oyster sauce on my fried eggs by Lee Kum Kee. Use the more expensive one because it taste much better.

It is a traditional poor mans dish were my family is from, and it is good. You should give it a try.

So, you eat a lot of fried rice then?

yes, excellent and cheap asian themed breakfast.

throw some beans with minced peppers and onions on the rice, then top with eggs for hispanic breakfast.

is it the same as fried rice with eggs and soy sauce? if so, yes

No, I am referring to steamed rice. Cook an egg or two to your liking, and mix it with white rice and some soy sauce. You can also substitute rice with a baguette or toast and it is great too.

I eat this for dinner when my mom's too busy watching Korean dramas and just wants to cook up something real quick so she can get back to them.

Yep. Right now, though, I'm having two eggs I microwaved in a mug. Tastes fine, though a bit rubbery 🙁 Really fun to watch balloon up like those black snake firework things.

This is the State breakfast of Hawaii. And it is delicious (especially with some spam)...you can get it everywhere, including McDonalds...

Or for an even better variation, eggs, rice, hamburger patties and brown gravy (LocoMoco):

Love fried eggs on stuff: fried rice, enchiladas, burgers... it's all good.

Used to scramble an egg with some water in a measuring cup and cook it in the microwave, then add sugar or maple syrup. Not sure if I'd still like that or not.

Been eating 3 fried eggs and tenderized steak for dinner every day since January 24th.Special diet hopefully coming to a close soon.
