Menengitis can kill you overnight, right?

This guy has been coughing and coughing and wheezing for the past month now. I just woke up with a stiff neck and went to read about stiff neck. It says that it is a symptom of menengitis. Boy I'M going to be pissed of that guy has menegitis and decided to still come into work and cough on everyone around him. DAMNIT!

LOL. Modern medicine I tell ya! What a wonder. 🙂

Preface: Go to a doctor if you're worried

Kill you in a night:
Bacterial - no
Viral - no

Bacterial meningitis is most common (70%) in children under the age of five, and occurs in black most frequently.

The classic symptoms are :
Preceding repiratory illness
Fever, headache, and stiff neck (classic triad)
Vomiting
Seizures
Impaired conciousness

'Tussin cures everything... and if you run out, just put some water in the bottle, shake it up... more tussin.

What is that virus or bacteria that can kill you over night? It feels like flu like symptoms and you can pass within a few days or even one night?

I was reading about it not only in Maxim but in a local newspaper as well.

Sounds like inhaled anthrax. Woolsorter's Disease. Many things can cause death within 24 hours of onset, so I don't really have an idea.
