I'm contemplating having it done, as I broke my nose a few years ago and the top area of it has become much larger than the tip. I was wondering if anyone here has had this done, did it eventaully heal back to alot better than it looked prior to being rebroken. Or if I want my nose to look more cosmetically appealing is my only choice to have a nose job.

I broke my nose in a fight and had it set right away (the day off the break). Getting it reboken is gonna hurt :)

I also later had reconstructive surgery where they removed one of the tirbinites (spelling) - for better breathing not so I could look like Michael Jackson

how did the rebreaking turn out? currently the bottom area of my nose is fine, but the top area is far larger than it used to be, and far wider. Think the rebreaking would fix it? or only a nose job?

Do you mean just straight getting your nose broken by some object? You'll probably make things worse that way. I broke my nose once but had it reset the same day it was broken as well and now you cant even tell it's been broken. Just get the surgery, if you choose not to let me be the first to have a swing at ya ;).

I dont mean breaking it myself =P I broke my nose about 3 years ago now, and the doctor will rebreak it himself then move the bones back into place. I'm just wonderng if once it heals if it'll go back to looking normal and the enlargemnet in the upper area will go away. Forgot to ask my doc this.

Well, when I originally broke my nose it was doing high jump =P I was doing a scissor style jump over the bar and I kneed myself in the face and broke my nose in 3 spots.
