Yup, married a girl I went to school with, we used to sit together on the bus as kids. Been with her since we were 13 (23 now)

Someone I worked with? Not unless they are in a department far away from mine and they couldnt do anything to fsck with me if things turned sour

I dated a co-worker years ago, and now I'm engaged to her. However, we did break up while still working together, and once I quit, we got back together.

Classmate, sure. Co-worker, hell no.

Edit: Although when I say co-worker, I'm not talking about the girl you work with at Wendy's, that's probably fine. I'm talking if you have a professional, long term, serious job.

Meh, I disagree, there is deinitely a potential for problems, but so long as you keep it professional at work it should be ok.

You can keep it professional all you want; there is no guarantee that your ex will.

Don't dip your pen in the company ink....though classmates are a completely different story.

I dated classmates and it wasn't any big deal. Coworkers are a much more dangerous, but a lot depends on the situation. If you are in a big company with multiple locations, dating people from a different location is less likely to cause problems.

i would date a classmate.......except that 99% of them are male, and the very few that are female (all of about 5 of them.........2 of which look like men, ones a monkey, ones already taken (shes actually quite nice) and the last girl is a coool chinese chick who hangs round in our little group of friends)

damn women engineers..........or rather the lack of them! more girls need to do engineering!

when I was an undergrad there was this wierd chick that wouldn't leave me alone. She wasn't bad looking, but I just wasn't into her, I ignored her best I could. Then I got stuck in a group with her. When I found out I had to withdraw. problem solved, no hurt feelings.
