Anyone here ever attend one of those Anthony Robbins seminars?

Well, my company is offering to have me fly up to Orlando for a 3 day motivational seminar with Anthony Robbins, the self proclaimed guru of confidence and success. I'm a bit skeptical about these types of things, has anyone ever gone to one or know someone that has??

Probably!!! They had one of their sales "trainers" come in and do whole 1 hour infomercial about how our lives would change and we would all be millionares. Then at the end they had us clap and scream Yes Yes Yes like maniacs. I was laughing the entire time!

Tony is just short for Anthony.

I usually don't buy into that hype, but I've heard some of his work in the past and it actually is pretty impressive if you're willing to get into it.

He's full of crap, he just resells old tired information. He has made barely any money in business, all his money comes from selling books and tapes. The books and tapes can run you hundreds of dollars and there rather useless.

Actually, you can find 2 or 3 of his best sellers at your local book store. Most are now in paperback form, so the price is only about $14.00. I'm reading a few of his books now. He does have some good motivational information in them - and there are processes of his that will work.

I would not buy into one of his tape/CD packages, though. They seems like they are just "books on tape" and if you don't mind reading the material in the books, you can save several hundred dollars.

Edit: One more thing. I guess I'm a bit jaded when it comes to his books. At times, he does try to repackage, resell information that has been spoken by others before. Due to the vast selection of other books that I've read in the past, I do see some information in his books that others have also written about in the past. I'd prefer to have a book full of all new information, but this doesn't appear to be the case. Just buy one of his books, read it, study the exercises, etc. and you will probably receive a good benefit from it.
