Anyone here drive a car without power steering?

Mine was reliable. Not flashy, or nice, but if you need to go from point A to B for cheap then it will suit you fine. It was a loud car, little insulation, no amenities (no PS, AC, Power windows/locks, or ABS), rough ride, but was cheap, and got terrific gas mileage (high 30's on the highway).

Dangerous, if not paying attention in certain situations it could be. Pay attention, and just leave it in gear longer (2 hands on wheel) until you straiten out and can safely go 1 handed. Only problem is the low redline of the I4 (I had the 1.9l) and the feeling that it didn't like going past 3500 RPMs, so holding the gear in first around a corner can result in 4k+ on the tach which I didn't enjoy on that rickety engine.

Go drive it for yourself, and see if you like ... well don't mind it. :p

Yep, as stated, mostly only makes a difference when you're moving very slowly. It could make parallel parking a bit of a hassle, if that's something you'll be doing a lot of.
