I bought this game awhile ago but I never got around to playing it. Tonite I plan on firing it up and getting started, however I'm not sure where to start. This game is so freaking huge!!

That's why, after 90 minutes, I put it down and never turned it on again. I realized it was far far too huge to play unless I could devote many dozens of hours to it.

I got my character up to level 30 something before I broke down and used cheats 😛
I downloaded a whole bunch of cool mods too.

Thats why I've stayed away from it for so long. But I feel the need to immerse myself in a fantasy land this week so I'm gonna take the plunge and try to save enough time for eating and sleeping.

I was like Skoorb... I realized that I couldn't tackle the game, so I sold it along with the guide. It was an impressive game though.

I'm with these other guys, I played unil I got to VIVIC I was about lvl 34 with killer stats and nothing was challangeing anymore and the game became BORING.

I love that game 😀 Too bad I really don't have enough time to play it🙁 I think my Mage is up to about lvl43 right now but i've only spent about 40hrs on that one. Cheats are cool especially gold_100 10000 😉 I haven't tried the expansion pack yet since I haven't conquered this one yet.

VERY ADDICTING GAME! of course that is IF you stick with it past the initial "I don't know what the heck I'm doing" stage😛

Does that mean this game is really easy to go through? I was kinda hoping for a good challenge

There are plenty of mods to make it more challenging. The user created modules really can enhance the game, try some.

I've played it on the XBOX and gotten pretty far, however, at one point I was encumbered and dropped a book somewhere and this mage person wants it and I have NO idea where I dropped it, so..
That part of the quest is out of it for me. I havent played for a couple months either.

I'm a pretty high level battlemage and pretty damn unstoppable when I summon my axe and wear my kickass(tm) armor.

does the Xbox version allow for console additem? 😉 I left some needed stuff onetime but just added it using the console.😀

I'm having issues with the "wise women" right now - they don't like the book/scrolls i keep bringing them😛 guess i haven't talked to the right guy yet 😛

It could be considered challenging IF you don't cheat 😉 however it would get boring if you didn't follow the flow of the game (quests). When I first played I just went around killing stuff and paid for training (cheated to get the $ for it though 😉 ) that got rather boring but it taught me alot about the game and how to play "in charactor"

unless there is an xbox trainer somewhere, no, it doesnt, but my xbox is modded, so, in theory, it should be possible to add items through a hacked trainer of some sort or something.

It's a really good game, but it's so huge. I did a money code so I could create spells (you can literally create magic spells, it's amazing). I made some that were so amazing...

I never cheat in games cad guy, but this game, once you pass a certain hump of experiance, i think around lvl 30 becomes easy to even beat up on deadras. Plus items like robe of st roris and spells like flying make it a joke.

Edit but the first 30 levels are wonderful gamming🙂

That "is" cool, I just read on a MW site that you can make your own potions. And another cool thing I just learned is that its possible to play through the game as a vampire. I can't wait to get home and start playing

what about boss levels (assuming there are any) are'nt there some really tough enemies even when you ascend to the higher levels

Agreed. If it weren't for all the mods MW wouldn't be half the (great) game it is today.

Where exp? and which ones? I just may have to reinstall🙂 You know how hard I worked to get 5/5/5 everytime I leveled up the first ten levels😉

Architech- play the game:0 I beat up vivic though who supposed to be tough with only 1/4 of the map explored.

I beat the game... it was fun. And as I was like level 25 when I finished it, the whole game was challenging. I started to do Tribunal, but then just decided not to bother... it's just so huge, and I had already invested a lot of time, plus not many of the enemies were challenging anymore.

Sorry carb, I forgot the names of the exact plugins I used (I sold MW awhile ago...now I'm waiting for a deal to pick up the gold edition). Try here or herefor mods. I remember there was a good one that allowed you to change all sorts of settings to bump up the difficulty level however you want. It was really useful.

Hehe...I gave up on that pretty quickly. 😀 But I do remember spending hours trying to sell expensive items to mudcrab or that one gollum-looking guy. Sell enough small-ticket (<10k) items to exhaust his cash supply, rest, sell, rest, etc...until he had enough to trade for the big-ticket item. Then trade. Sell back the small-ticket items, rest, sell, rest. Man, that was annoying as hell. Luckily there are also mods to make the game more convenient, and one of them puts a trader w/ 200k in cash by every teleport point. That was a life-saver...

Ya I remember what a PITA it was to get rid of a deadra AXE like $45,000 and the richest merchant (the imp looking dude in caldera) had only like $6000. So you had to buy from him lots of little light stuff like charged soul stones then immediatly sell him the axe to get the money back. Sounds like a cool mod.

Why did I wait so long to start playing this game again?

I found a gang of mod sites, including one that specializes on mods for houses. Very cool

Edit: here's a link for anyone who's interested.

I beat it a week after it came out.... no cheats! What a great game. Of course, I didn't leave the house for 4 days straight at one point.... but it was worth it 🙂
