Might be luck of the draw - I've read conflicting information on what they will or won't install, so it may vary depending on what store you go to and what tech you get.Huh. Years ago they wouldn't install 18s on our WRX.

nitrogen refills are just to get you back in the store. it's complete snake oil.I got tires from Costco once, and never did it again. The wait time for rotations & nitrogen refills was just awful. I will give them another shot now that they make appointments now.
an alignment is what? $100? just go get one.IMHO there are few reasons not to at least try Costco:
1.) You're not a member (duh)
2.) Last I checked, they won't install non-OEM sizes
3.) They don't do alignments
Other than that I've never heard any complaints.

I am costco member but that was the same issue I had, length of time to do rotations. No way was I going to wait hours for a rotation.I think they "prioritize." I can get new tires in an hour or two, but getting a rotation is like a 4-6 hour wait.
I usually have the oil change place rotate the tires too, instead.

I've bought my tires the last 20 years from Americas Tire. They priced matched the Radial TAs I wanted from Costco
and the wait on rotations is generally 30-60 minutes.
I guess outside CA they are known as Discount Tire.
We buy all of our tires from DiscountTireDirect
I've shopped their prices on tires from time to time but Discount Tire has always beat them on the tires I wanted.

I'm a Costco member, and our 2015 Highlander needs a new set of tires. I did a ton of research and checked out tirerack, and the general consensus is the Michelin Defenders are the best choice.
Dealer quoted my $1,154 out the door.
Costco.com is quoting me $826 installed before tax (so about $900 out the door).
Quite the delta! So I'm wondering if anyone here used their tire service before? If their service is anything like the store itself, it should be a safe bet. Plus they offer free tire rotations, balancing, and repairs for the life of the tire you buy.
I buy tires from tire stores vs. Sam's or Costco. Many will lower their price if you have a price that is cheaper, plus Discount Tire has lots of perks, free flat repair (replace if un-fixable), air pressure checks, free rotations and balancing, and even replaced a TPS sensor when they fixed a slow leak at the tire bead.... for free.
I'm pretty sure if tire is not repairable due to road hazard damage, free tire replacement is not included at Discount Tires. That's what I thought. I had 4 nails in one of my tires on my LX470. I took it to Discount Tires and couldn't get it patched because one of the nail was too close to the tire sidewall. I had to buy brand new tire even though the old tire only had couple hundred miles on it. If I had purchased the tires at Costco, the new replacement tire would've been free. But since I did not, I was out of luck and I paid the full price for the replacement tire at Discount Tires. You have to buy replacement certificates separately with Discount Tire.
and you're already there so you might as well go in and get a big pack of salmon and a chicken.they now have the nitrogen refills outside of the tire center and it's self service
I like the salmon because they take off the skin for you already.and you're already there so you might as well go in and get a big pack of salmon and a chicken.
the skin's the best part!I like the salmon because they take off the skin for you already.
