i was going to go ahead and build an microatx based machine, when i had the idea of building a btx machine. i could like put all the new fangled technologies in it, since im building from scratch anyway.
could have ddr2, and sata and hell maybe ill get a dual core 2.8 (hell of a lot cheaper than an amd one).
apparently its not even that expensive...
there dont seem to be that many options case wise, seems there is a pretty decent chenbro one (i've used chenbro before, very good stuff) for like $70 at ewiz, and a 945g board is $110 and p4 2.8-3.0 775 chips are like $85-100 on ebay. ddr2 seems to be really cheap on ebay, like people buy the wrong ram for their system a lot it seems.
so funny i think itll actually cost less to build a btx intel system than a microatx amd 64 machine...
what do you guys think? good move, bad move? i do like the much cleaner layout.
