Anyone here bite their nails, or used to bite their nails?

I bite my nails, and it's just turned into a really bad habit. I'm trying to stop, but also difficult. Any easy ways of stopping?

I hope you do stop. That is one disgusting habit, especially when you can see the person chew and swallow. Blech. They sell some type of clear coat polish that tastes nasty which is available at your local drugstore.

I use to bite my nails.... if you wanna stop... then think about what could be under your fingernails and where your hands have been when you have them in your mouth... 😛

my little brother bites his nails, when his finger nails are gone he goes to his toes :disgust: and when both are gone he bites his skin off of his finger tips and tips of his toes. I've seen red marks on his finger and toes from where he bites them, maybe a little bit of.. . . what the hell should i do? he's 9

I'm 17 and I can't stop, although I haven't really tried. But now that I've seen this thread, I'm really gonna hammer on it and break the habbit this summer. It is pretty disgusting if you think about it.

I used to bite my nails then i started carrying around a nail cutter on my car keys and i cut my nails every day and keep them as short as possible so theres nothing to bite. I'm glad i never had the urge to bite my toe nails or the skin on my fingers.
