I own a PowerSpec B686 desktop PC. I understand that PowerSpec has a B and G Series line of desktops and mine is from their B-Series line. Anyone here own the same PC or another PowerSpec B-Series PC with the original BIOS can tell me what it shows for the System Model name in the Windows 10 or 11 System Information utility or in the BIOS system DMI information. Does it show as a GSeries or a BSeries or something else?

I have an older, cheaper Powerspec B249 with a Ryzen 5600
I bought it not quite 2 years back.

The Windows 11 system info says its a Ryzen5600 B249

It says GSeries for my system in the Windows System Information. This was supposedly the original BIOS file for this system that tech support emailed to me since I wanted to flash back to the original BIOS that the system came with in case I ever want to resell the system since the BIOS it came with is more specific to the system, for example the PowerSpec logo at bootup instead of the MSI logo and the system information DMI section in the BIOS, where it also lists this system's model as the GSeries. They said it being listed as the GSeries for the system model in the Windows System Information is correct and it's referring to the motherboard since the motherboard is a G series motherboard. I just thought that it would make more sense if system model was listed as the actual system model instead of the motherboard model in this pre-built PC like all other pre-built PCs I used in the past and I recall LInux Mint using myname_B686 instead of myname_GSeries for the user name when I first got the system with it's original BIOS. I also want to make sure that the System Information DMI is correct for this system in the BIOS (the original one that was sent to me) in case I try to resell it. Windows System Information does list the motherboard's name correctly however for the Baseboard Product. I probably won't resell it with the latest BIOS from the motherboard manufacturer of this system.

My system at bootup does show the PowerSpec logo.
The system info doesn't show what motherboard is in the computer.
I still have the box so I know its a ASRock, from the info listed for the PowerSpec B249

I went with this prebuilt because it was actually cheaper to buy it than put it together myself.
Fingers crossed, its been solid for just under 2 years.
