For a meat eater like me, what are the tastiest foods to mean someone off meats?

but...being indian, lost of people I know are vegeterian. If being vegeterian is built into your culture, its alot easier. Surprisingly, vegtables can be spicied up just as well as meat can.

I'm a vegetarian. I've been one for 29 years and it's easy. I'd think that anything with eggs or cheese would be your best bet for fatty/meaty food.

Morningstar Farms makes makes lots of very good imitation meat products... they taste great.

Boca man, boca chic'n patties are the bomb. Best soy ever (well maybe not quite).
Morningstar buffalo wings are pretty good too; just don't underbake them or they're a tad mushy.
And while you're at it, go have a salad or something

I dont undestand how you can be a real vegan or vegetarian unless you grow the stuff yourself...

I mean there are tons of animals killed every year by the machines used to harvest the veggies....moles gophers mice etc...

so when they say dont kill animals for food they in fact are indirectly killign anaimals whether they eat them or not./

i'd be willing to bet that a lot of vegetarians out there don't eat meat becuase of the health issues, rather than the fact that they don't want to slaughter animals..

i dont know though...

do you mean "wean"?? i don't know why anyone would WANT to become vegetarian if they had to be weaned off of it.. unless it's health related.. but if you need to be weaned off meat, then dont' bother.. but.. i would guess eggs and cheese or meat substitues like those fake meat patties and stuff would be the best

i think my roommate just doesn't really like meat.. he wasn't raised on it... i mean his parents eat meat.. but not like a steak every night.. so now he's vegetarian.. going on about 7 years.. i dont' think he cares about killing animals.. hell, whenever we make burgers (veggie burgers for him) he helps us mix the ground beef and stuff.. so i highly doubt he cares about killing animals

I don't eat anything that looks like it was once alive. I'll eat chicken breasts because it doesn't look like it was alive, but I wont eat normal chicken. I wont eat rib steak because it got a bone in it. It's not that I feel bad for the poor animal or anything like that, it just disgusts me to eat something that was running around or swimming a few days before.

asian vegitarian places have decent tofu stuff. i'm not talking bland white cubes, but tofu made into strange but reasonably tasty stuff.
