I tried watching the show one time...thought it was very poorly done. Then again, I'm not much of a fan of "slapstick humor." Funny I like...stupid funny, not so much.

When it first came out I thought the show was mediocre and lame. Even this year at times I haven't liked their transparent "feel good" emphasis on "we are fam-i-ly."

However, I now have to say that it is one of the two best comedies on TV, along with Modern Family, and one of the better shows of any genre currently airing.

The end clips with Abed and Troy are effing hilarious, and I can finally stomach Chevy Chase enough that he doesn't matter.

The show is pretty good, I got hooked onto it over the summer when they replayed last season on hulu.

They seem to be grabbing to bucket and returning to the "I'm old" well one to many times with CC's character though.

Community
Modern Family

Though, at this point, they are all relatively at the same level in my book. I love them all!

I can't get into Modern Family. eh...

favorite shows are Community and P&R, easily. I was rather disappointed with the Christmas episode, though, as the previous 3-4 episodes were really, really good.

I'm surprised at peeps not liking the stop-action Christmas show. I thought it was highly imaginative and very well done, even brilliant. The key for me was Abed being the "reality-confused" main narrator.

I thought it was amazing, but it was just not very funny, particularly when compared to their other work. I love that they did it, but I did not luagh much.

I'm generally a fan of community. However, I find it annoying when they try to turn the serious up a notch, e.g. Troy's birthday episode. They were on a roll before that, at least 4 or 5 episodes that I found hilarious. Haven't watched the christmas episode yet so I can't comment on that, but my friend who feels the same as I do said he was pretty disappointed with it.

Dan Harmon with the help of his buddies made a internet series called lazer fart in the late 90s. Jack black makes an awesome appearance as well..
