Anyone heard that HORRIBLE new Megadeth song?

Anyone heard the new MegaDeth song that?s been on the radio lately? Talk about struggling to remain relevant. The song ends with the lead singer saying ?WASHINGTON?..you?re a mess.? Like they?re making some huge political statement and everyone?s going to listen to them now. Do they think some exchange like this is going to happen:

Senator 1: Ha ha ha we?re so corrupt but no one notices!
Senator 2: baaahahaha let?s waste MORE taxpayer money
Senator 3 (rushing in): We have a problem!! We have a problem!! The Mega Death is coming for us listen to this song!!!!

Senators (in unison): OH NO!

Man I wish these old bands would just go away.

Um. Megadeth has been political since...ever. Not like Rage Against the Machine levels of politicalness, but they have always had an anti-government slant. Nothing new.

Dave says "Washington, you're next" not "you're a mess" but yeah, they've always been political with their lyrics.

HAHAHA~~~

I still remember the lyrics "Kill a man, you are a murderer; kill many, you are a conquerer; kill them all, you are the God!"

I'll be honest, Sympony of Destruction, and the song that had the video where he's talkign to nis hand "hello me...meet the real/new me" were the only two songs from them that were listenable.

I ain't gonna lie to ya.

What do you mean, I don't support your system?

I go to court when I have to.

I'll have to check out this song....

I love a lot of the older Megadeth stuff, up to about Youthanasia .... Haven't really gotten in to their newer stuff though as it seems to have lost it's "thrashiness."

I actually got more annoyed when Muse decided that their latest album would be politically-based... why do artists think we care about their opinion? It's like Bruce Willis said in that one interview, he has an opinion too but he's just one other person (or whatever he said like that).

any reference to "them" or "they" in the thread should be changed to "he" or "him". Megadeth has always been Megadave.

rust in peace is probably the best thrash album to come out of the bay area scene

That's just your opinion.

I do have to say that the new album has not really grown on me that much.... Really there are only 3 songs on there that I would play regularly when listening to that album. Rust in Peace rule all!

I don't mind some political views here and there but this album is too political IMO.

Are you really that naive?

Haven't heard the new album, but I do like Megadeth.

Metallica is better though. 😉
