'K, I just got a letter from a group, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars... are they legit? A lot of times in high school, I got letters from groups like this, they ask for a "membership fee", then you never really get anything out of it besides stupid little newsletters.

Is this an organization that is worth putting on a resume, worth the "lifetime membership fee" (like $60), and will actually be worth the time and effort to join and participate in?
 
erm, before venturing into a 'society' like this, ask them what YOU get out of it...a friggin newsletter? cmon...

It sounds like any other honor society that I've been in... *shrug* I'm just curious if anyone here has experience with them.
