A buddy of mine is excited about this site....I assume he got an email regarding it. I told him it looked bogus but that I'd double check, he wants to believe 🙁

If you guys know anything let me know.

sorry if this is off topic but it seems like file sharing software to me...but that may just be my ignorance.

Right, for only a one time fee of $35 you can download all the recently released PC games, movies that are still in the theater, pretty much everything else. Plus any website that has to state that they are 100% safe, secure and legal is most likely not. The only surprise one will get is when they find out they got scammed.
 
If you wanted to be illegal you could get all that for free right now, wouldn't need to pay any fees.
