http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=BROWSE&manufactory=1488

This thing is listed in the new products section of Newegg, but the manufacturer's site loaded like it was served off of 56k. The 1 customer review in Newegg seemed to sing pretty high praises about it.

At 26$ shipped, it's almost worth my buying just to see what exactly it is, but I was wondering first if anyone here had heard anything about it. Anyone heard of this company that makes it (Therman Integration something something), and more specifically, this cooler?

Ahh yes, the ThermoEngine mk II. HardOCP liked it a lot. Its a very efficient design, and although the fan is a biut anemaic, it is a very nice cooler, especially for the price.

It is an excellent heatsink, but Newegg carries it with the low speed fan. The low rpm fan seems to hinder it performance significantly.

The Cooler Star has it coupled with the high speed fan, 5000 rpm & 38 CFM. With the high speed fan, most of the reviews put its performance up there with the Thermalright SK-6, but at much lower noise. Cooler Star list several of these reviews at the product page.

Hah, I never knew Thermal-Integration was the company that made the thermoengine. Shame on me for sounding like a newbie! :)

Thanks for the info guys.

yeah ThermoSonic broke up or something, and now TIT (hey! its their acronym!) is formed from some of the employees I believe.
