anyone heard of, or bought, a convection microwave oven?

i guess i've been hiding under a rock, but my neighbor bought a new microwave that doubles as a normal convection oven..

so, if you're cooking dinner in the oven, you can use the microwave to heat rolls or whatever.

I never heard of it before & I WANT ONE...

Any recommendations on them>?

I've got one. They are very handy, but as convection rules go, are not true convection ovens. I've got a Whirlpool, had it for about 5-6 yrs still works great!

we have one, it's like a toaster/microwave/oven all in one really. Since there are only two of us it works as a full-time oven substitute.

Baking is a bit problematic though as the pan is too close to the bottom burner.

My parents had one for years and years...a GE purchased brand new in 1984 or around there. Finally got rid of it a couple years ago after more than 20 years of service. I don't think they ever used the convection functions though.

Speaking of which, my microwave melted today. It was cooking a TV dinner and the flux capacitor inside melted. My whole place smells like I've been soldering chicken and veggies 😛
