Anyone hear playing Quake Champions?

Quake Champions came out in 2017, but overall for a non war FPS is the best out there with gameplay and gets updated still. Best graphics amazing characters and their own style of play and powers. I also play GTA5. These are the two games I have installed lol. I play this on 2080 RTX and its smooth as butter at 2k resolution.

I want to start playing war FPS games like Call of Duty and latest version of course. Would I need a upgrade from 2080 RTX for these new games, and if so which nVidia card. Can I stick with what I have, or I need to upgrade. If I need to upgrade and my budget is no more then 600 to 700 US dollars. Thanks 😵
 
i played QC for a while but, while the gameplay is solid, there are some really annoying problems with the rest, from the queues, to the lack of a friends list & messaging, no static servers, etc all things that QuakeLive still has, so basically anyone who wasn't gonna play in QuakeCon went back to QL.
 
I have played a lot of Quake champions, and I prefer it generally to Quake Live, but some of the recent updates have really been disappointing, and the last one really does more harm than good IMO.

I agree the ques are too long, balance is often meh with the match maker on top of that, now there is a friends list, but they took out global text chat in the lobby screen, and a while before that they removed voice chat, all of these are very unfortunate.

The last update was really bad, included some re-balancing that doesn't make any sense, such as railgun damage back to 80, speed nerfs, Strogg stroyent mechanic changes, and a very mediocre battle pass IMO.

What they should do is bring back team voice chat, bring back general chat, and maybe just leave it alone as far as balance. I would like to have an option to buy Ruby Nyx skin again though. Also adding the Unmaker as a skin for the lighting gun would be neat.
 
i found a whole bunch of single player FPS which i like better. Witchfire, RoboQuest, Deadzone Rogue, and then a few more.
For multiplayer, idk, i kinda given up on that. Nothing ever compares to Blacklight Retribution. (R.I.P.)
