Anyone having trouble with AIM 5.1?

I should've known I was going to have problems with this version when I couldn't get it to install using the upgrade feature on my older version. I downloaded it manually from the website and ever since it's been crashing like mad, brings my computer to its knees, and the biggest annoyance, I've started receiving message popups like whoa.

I didn't even upgrade to AIM 3... stuck with AIM 2.9 or somethin like that

maybe i got confused with winamp.... anyways I haven't upgraded AIM for about half a year or more.

Actually, I'm really happy with it for the most part, 5.1 works well except I couldn't log on for 4 hours yesterday, arg.

Ok, here is a picture of one of the popups I'm talking about. They come right up on my desktop. Usually when I'm in the middle of a game or something because they know that pisses me off the most.

Nope, it's from Windows Messenger Service (Not related to MSN). Disable that service from Windows Services.
