Anyone having trouble connecting your Xbox to computer?

Since the update my Xbox won't connect to the computer through Windows Media Centre... It sees my laptop and attempts to connect, but always comes back with a unable to screen.. Tried restarting both systems with no luck.. Also deleting both devices from eachother and starting fresh, still wasn't working..
I'm on Vista.. Anyone else had this problem?

you can run a network test, to see if it'll connect to your PC, if it does not...you can view an error code.

can you connect to xbox live?

I had to manually put in an IP, subnet, gateway for mine to work.

Yea i can connect to Xbox Live fine.. Just no luck with the media centre.. Its crazy if you have to bother with all that just to get it to work..

Edit: I also get no error code, it detects the computer and everything, i just won't get past the connecting to screen.

Mine connects to Live, Media Center and Media Connect just fine. I didn't change any network settings after the update. Some time ago, though, I may have assigned a static IP because the xbox and my old laptop would keep fighting over the same address.

Yep, multiple times.. I don't know enough to be messing around with network settings either, ah well..
