I've tried to install these a few times but they keep failing.
This is on XP pro (legit).
Anyone else having probems recently?

Go to your C:\Windows directory and look for a file called WindowsUpdate.log. Scroll to the very bottom and you will find your error code. Post that error code here and I'll see if I can help you.

have you overclocked or changed something recently? many have corrupted their windows install by accident this way. it happened to me. you may also need to install microsoft's new genuine something or other tool that verifies that you have a lisenced copy of windows. otherwise, you can lo longer recieve updates . . . hope this helps

n othing overclocked. And it already installed the verification thing. And this is a licensed/legit copy. The first day it happened it installed a few other updates but these few conistently fail.

Do you have SP2 installed? Your best bet is to enable auto updating and let it take care of itself.
