Anyone having problems w/ the new Win2k/XP SB Live drivers?

The volume seems soooo low now, even when I crank my system up (Its connected to my HT setup). Also, it alse seems like there is a fade in/out when you try to scroll through songs and also when you start and stop songs. Sometimes I don't even get any sound at all.

I've tried re-installing the drivers a few times but always the same problems. Now I'm just using the Win2k drivers supplied by MS. My fading problem is still here w/ these drivers now as well.

I had the low volume problem too and didn't feel like spending time figuring it out so I rolled back to the old drivers.

I dont have dolby digital output with them, and no option for "live surround". Just 2 or 4 speakers

I had to turn up the volume in the mixer, otherwise it defaulted to a very low sound.

It sets the volume back to like 20%. Just change it.

However, the drivers screwed up the sound in Nascar 2002 when racing side by side.. especially in turns. The audio gets all screwed up.

Is there anybody not having problems with creative labs sound drivers. I wish Aureal Vortex 2 chips could make a comeback.

Get ready for a shock,8 years of using Creative sound card drivers and I`ve had no problems over that period of time 😉.
