I used Morpheus for about a month before the servers went down and switched to Kazaa. Problem is, while my searches come up with just as many entires as Morpheus used to, my dload rate is much rate.
For example, if I picked something in Morpheus with a bandwith (I assume bandwith is a sign of how many people have it) of 700, that sucker would download immediately and pretty much non stop, usually at least at 20k/sec and most of the time around 50. Now if I pick a file with the same kind of bandwith on Kazaa, I might go days without even a single byte being downloaded. I have a whole list of files queued up, ranging from around 80 in bandwith to 500, but it's rare if something downloads at all. If it does it'll be a k or 2 a second. For some reason, the rarest things (like Conan skits) will have much better success of finding hosts and being able to download than something with a good bandwith rating (like a movie or song). I used to be able to download a gig a day, now maybe 50 megs if I'm lucky, but probably more like 5. At least on Morpheus, the rare stuff would download all the time, just very slwoly.
Since Morpheus and Kazaa used to be on the same network and I used to be able to download a lot and fast under Morpheus, I've been wondering what's wrong. And I KNOW Kazaa has a ton of users (if not more).
Am I
1) expecting too much
2) doing something wrong? (find more sources is useless)
Is anyone having similar problems?
