anyone have tips on selling to ticket brokers?

Anyone know anything about ticket brokers? i have some season tickets i'm not going to be able to use and want to try to get the max value for them. is there a standard percentage that they will want to be able to markup? ie: what can i expect them to stop at based on the stubhub type of pricing? if stubhub says 2000 and the list price is 500, would a broker reasonable offer me 1000? with a little negotiating leeway to get to 1200? or am i gonna get lowballed no matter what i do?

i could always go the craiglist route but that may be more work than i'm interested in. or is there a better way to go? I'm counting on you, anandtech masses!

yes pretty much so, with these big websites you will be lowballed... More money = more work = craigslist

Yea if they are decent seats/games then craigslist them.

seats are ok. i dont have the seniority/title to get good seats as of yet. trapped in the corner of the endzone. called a couple of places, compared versus what i see on raigslist for my section. looks like i'll pick up a 75%ish profit on the tickets. could be worse i suppose

why don't you just sell on stubhub or ebay...I would think you could beat the prices on their and still get more than a broker would pay you.

Is this for Football?

Unless it for some crappy team just craigslist them for 95% of the price. Football tickets always sell. I tried to get some and never can, even nose bleed seats behind a pole are even sold.
