this one

i saw a thread about this over in hot deals and being trigger happy and deprived of sleep, i bought two. anyone have experience with this phone? i figure... for $15, why not? if worse comes to worse, there is always ebay :p

From what I know about RF, 2.4 GHz would be inherently inferior to 900 MHz in a cordless phone application, while 900 MHz would be inferior to 2.4 GHz in a microwave oven.

900 MHz is the better frequency range for passing through obstructions, like the walls of your house.

2.4 GHz is well into the microwave range of the spectrum. Microwave ovens use RF energy at about 2.5 GHz to cook food.

While the transmission power of a cordless phone is probably only about 1/4 watt (most newer consumer microwaves are 900-1200 watts), the idea of putting that antenna 1 inch away from my brain for a couple minutes to a couple hours at a time just doesn't sit well in there. Your brain is mostly water, and water absorbs microwaves.

Last time I was deprived of sleep I got in on the 80gb 7200 hd for $38.00.
I shop well in my sleep I guess...
