The Powercolor card quoted in the OP is owned by a friend of mine and he has had better overclocking results than me with my Windforce 7950.

The low end Powercolor 7950 (single fan) has a terrible cooler. The one in OP and the PCS+ are great cards.

Anyone have more results with the Powercolor card? It's now on sale so I'm considering getting this Powercolor 5E card (PowerColor AX7950 3GBD5-2DHV5E), after having returned my HIS model that had bad soldering (see separate thread).

Hopefully the gamble on this card will work out. :)

Sorry I am late to reply but this is the exact card I have and its awesome. Well constructed, runs quiet and relatively cool. I thoroughly enjoy mine.
Oh forgot mine runs 1150 core no issues.

I got one too because its so cheap, I'm gonna strap it to my main rig and run it for a while.

Got one from the Newegg sale earlier this morning ($189.99 - $30 MIR - 5% Discover cashback bonus = $150 AR). It also came with a AMD "Gold" level 3-game promotion. For that price it's the best bang for the buck card for gaming.

We'll see how it runs. I'm not interested in OCing on the stock cooler, but will post temps and subjective noise evaluation. Keep in mind I'm coming from passive 7790s so I will be quite sensitive to any annoying noise.
