Anyone have this Easy CD Creator problem?

I am using Easy CD Creator 4 and when I am ready to burn and click burn, it says

Checking data transfer rate of drive C:

Searching for test files

AND IT #(*$&# STAYS LIKE THAT FOREVER. The Hard drive crunches away and it wont ever finish. WTF. #@(*$)^!@)(#*&!@)(*$)!@(*$&)!@($# WHY WHY HWY!! WHY !!!

I used to have that problem too. If you wait long enough it will eventually complete it's little "test." My advice is to kick Roxio to the curb and get Nero. It's the best burning software EVAR!

Nero 5.X is OK - but ECDC 4 is obsolete. Get something newer.

Another vote for Nero it really is a great all round burning app , for imaging you can't be CD Clone though

It sounds like something might be running in the basckground. EZCD is very sensitive to things like Norton AV or internet com; it will just hang up and go into never-never land. I suggest trying again with no internet connection, NAV autoprotect disabled, etc. You could also check for a Roxio update.
