Anyone have this case yet?

mountain mods is a box.

There is no bling to it.
Its a well designed well thought out box.

90% of mountain mods cases had water cooling in design as a primary.

If you feel your gonna watercool for a long time, then i recomend this:

With the Horizontal Motherboard Option.

The first choice will make you run out of room.
The second choice will give u more options to expand to in the future.

I ran out of room, and im on the second choice, so i had to get a pedistool to upgrade my MM.

MM is known for primo custom cases. Ever since they came out with that H2GO I have thought about getting it but they are pricey.

I remember reading about Mountainmods before they even started a website, back when the creator used to post on the Hardocp forums. They basically saw a hole in the enthusiast case market and decided to fill that niche. Their cases seem to be perfect for water cooling, and their powder coated cases look amazing but are rather expensive.

Didn't they mod the CompuCase 6A19?

I'm pretty interested in getting into water cooling but I'm not sure I need to do it. Is it worth water cooling your cpu if you're still going to air cool your video card? I have a 5870 and I don't know how to water cool it. CPU cooling I am learning about.

Aigo, about that MM case you linked, is it just a bare shell? I would need to get fans and grilles for it I'm guessing.

yeah its bare shell.

MM starts at that price, but a full loaded one can cost as much as 500-600 dollars. 😱

Looks like I will need to make a Case out of Wood know. My wife lost her job yesterday and my job keeps having a shutdown every 2 months to fix things they should of years ago.
Not sure if I will get paid for the 3 week shut down in April so I need to hold on to my Money till I see things get better.
I was sure looking forward to nice WC PC and see how good I could overclock it.

@ Aigo, that sounds like a lot of cash to drop for a water cooling noob like myself. What tower case would suffice for water cooling for a little less money? If there's no good choice I might still go for the MM case. Could I just buy a pre-made MM case or is the modular, build-your-own the only way to go?

I just got my tax's back so I can now order the case I want and what I need for W,C.

I was sold on the Cosair 800D before I saw this but cabel managment bothered me and I have seen is a few folks with the more square type Mountain Mod Cases.

What don't you like about the 800D cable management?

That set-up looks pretty nice to my eye. (Also notice the water-cooled arrangement shown @ 4:06 into the video)

I really like the idea of stacking one of these:

on top of one of these:

You could basically build the main case like an air cooled PC, and have your rad/pump(s) in the pedestal.

...pricey though...

depends on how far you intend to take the hobby.
If you just want to do it for silence, and better performance, then you can have a nice single large rad, and throw everything on 1 loop.
So that monticle would do, and so would corsairs 800d.

If your after the absolute best, then you want the largest case you can possibly afford, and then you will still run out of room.
😀

That is why my case has 2 layers. I ran out of room, on a MM U2.
But what else do you expect in a system that has 4 radiators, 5 ddc pumps, on 3 independent loops.
