anyone have the samsung bd-p1500 blu-ray player?

i tried googling, but couldn't find much help. i got this player on cyber monday from amazon when it was sub-200$, and it worked fine. watched madagascar and wall-e with no problem. i turned it on tonight to watch band of brothers, and i just get "no signal" on my tv, as if nothing it plugged in. it's not a faulty hdmi cable, because i just checked it with my xbox 360 and it works fine.

anyone else experience this issue?
 
Mine worked fine last week, I just tried it tonight and it won't load anything. I can't even get to the menu, the player just sits there with LOAD or CLOSE on the display.

that's EXACTLY what mine is doing.

and i bought the thing from amazon, who doesn't have an exchange policy. all i can to is get a refund, then buy the same player for $50+ more than what i originally paid for it 🙁
 
I too got mine from Amazon but back at the end of October. It was part of a package deal so the player itself was only $138. Thats more than $100 less than its selling for now. 🙁
