just wondering, we need to get some cds printed, about 1000 of 'em and wondering what some options are, I've been looking I can get real cds for about 1200 with 4 color logo's silkscreened on em, or Iwas wondering about duplicators, time really isn't too big of a deal so a single one would be fine as longas it was automated. but when I looked I found some for 900 and up to 2200 anyone one know anything about the standalone duplicators.
thanks

For less than 5000 CDs, I suggest investing in some 52x drives and bulk CDRs and burning them yourself (Most CD burning software supports writing to multiple drives at once - I suggest about 6)

its going to be probably 3-4 times a year 600 to 1000 each time, and they most likely will change everytime..

Good advice. If this is a one-time deal, then look for a company that specializes in CD/DVD duplication. However, if you're planning to duplicate CD's from time to time, you might want to invest in an automatic CD duplicator like this one:

Primera Composer Plus

what you need to ask yourself is if CD-R media is acceptable or if you require real pressed media. If you are going to be selling these, you REALLY need to use pressed media, and if this is audio you're talking about, the master better be redbook, or else you should have a disclaimer warning that the disc may not play back on all players. most duplication places use pressed media for 1000 or more, that's the big advantage of getting them duplicated professionally. also, they would have jewel cases, art, shrink wrap, and barcodes if you need them.

my band is currently having it's EP pressed at http://www.indie-cd-replication.org/. I haven't gotten it back yet, though, so no comment on if they're good.

Its just going to have a power point prog on it, and for advertisement only, so I'm figuring this should work fine...
