I am a full time family care-giver, but want to visit an Olympic games and am planning to go to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Yea, it's a long way off, but the only way I could ever do something like that is to simply save over a long period of time. I was stationed in Korea in the 90's, and only spent a few days in Japan, and always wanted to explore there, so I figure if I can save $15-20k over the next six years, a dream of mine can come true.

Anyone work seasonal at stores like Sears, Kohls, Macys, or Dillards? I'm pretty sure I could get a seasonal job at any of them, but would like to work where I can get the best pay for my time. Any advice about seasonal work, especially stores willing to give flexible schedules would be appreciated.

You're mostly looking at minimum wage as a seasonal worker. You may get a little more through a temp agency.

Your on a budget, want to explore Japan, going during an Olympic's is about the worst possible choice.

Seasonal work is going to require working some full shifts, look at some jobs that have flexible schedules built in like fast food.

Deliver pizza. Seriously.

This is football season, you will make an average of $15/hour or so. Things don't slow down until the weather starts getting nicer in the spring. Being a driver is a great part time job since the hours are pretty much always 5 pm to whenever.

Depends on how flexible you need and the labor pool in your area. We had a shit ton of college students looking for work while going to school so if your schedule wasn't wide open on the weekends you wouldn't get hired. Same for holidays. But the same presence of college students meant we were more willing to work around class schedules than other locations. Pay was pretty much minimum wage to slightly above minimum wage

Its not bad work - IME they don't expect you to learn a lot and the work isn't that difficult. Adding a part time job on top of a full time is a great way to save money as you never have time to spend it

Pizza might be better but don't the full timers usually get those jobs? Would almost certainly pay better than seasonal retail though
