anyone have Sapphire X850 XT overclock results?

After having a retail Built By ATI X850XT PE on back-order forever... I finally cancelled it and bought one of the Sapphire X850XT's from NewEgg (includes all accessories). There was only one review in which a guy claimed to "EASILY" overclock past Platinum Edition speeds. I was wondering if anyone has any or knows of any overclocking results with this card?

Also, does anyone have any opinions on ATI OverDrive vs. Sapphire RedLine?!

-Thanks

Using ATI's Catalyst Control Center's Overdrive, mine easily surpasses PE speeds on the core at 560MHz-I could go higher I just didn't see a need. The memory is limited to 594MHz by the software, but achieves that clock speed as well.

i do NOT have that nice results with mine, even after flashing various bios back and forth and trying how good it overclocks.

I had problems eg. playing HL2 for a while if i OC only 40 mhz or so on th core or mem, KNOWING it is Samsung 1.6ns memory and SHOULD easily do 590.

---> The problems appear when i run some games in high resolution (1280x1024) with Antialiasing on and everything.

---> In Doom3 when i have 1280x1024and 4xAA, very high quality and Shadows on (very important !!!) i get hell. I cannot overclock 5 mhz without nasty artifacts which require a reboot to clean the video cards memory. I can run other options fine, but not SHADOWS and antialiasing.

I'd really like to hear from you guys with this card, when you overclock...say 590 memory (!!!!!) and try the same with Doom3....if you do not get artifacts i will RMA my card...but i bet you WILL ! (Again: high reso, very high quality, shadow AND antialiasing)

HOWEVER --> i discoverd i have some heat issues and actually i really needed a new case...my temps are BAD....i just did some mods so i get a bit better airflow and my card temps dropped....looking better right now (540/560) i was playing HL2 like this for while fine. (Doom3 still same problem..i run it 1600x1200 w/o AA now fine)

But....before you make any statements about overclockability......its a WORLD of a difference if you run a game with Antialiasing or not since much more videomem is used and the card heats up much more etc...

Btw. i am 100% positive that my card itself is fine ! Dont ask me how i know...ok..you can..i have a testing suite by ATI which tests every aspect of the card. PASSes everything. (I cant give that suite away since its confidential btw...some people asked me for it)

I have the same card, and couldn't get the GPU to reach even 540 until I burned a pe bios from MVKTech. Now it runs stock at 540/589, but I have a driver problem because I think some of the old bios info is still in the card. I tried another bios from there, but the cpu fan went full speed. Try the bios with the 5 stars. The software recognizes the card, but also thinks there's something else that needs drivers. I just ignore it, and I'm getting 6190 3dmark05. I was in the 5800 range before I burned the bios in. Make sure you save your old bios first!
