My dvd player is having problems with this movie. Its skips bad. About from chapter 15 to 18 but the disc looks fine. I think I'm going to rent it and see if that disc does the same thing. If it doesnt I'll just return the one I have. Anyone else with this problem?

Update: There must have been a something wrong with the disc. Nothing that I could detect with my eyes. Got the exchange and the new one plays fine.

No problem besides the fact that the branch footage was horrid and killed any fluidity of the movie :(

Ditto on the disappointing "extra" footage. There was only one part that was any good, the extended classroom scene.

Yeah that was not the best way to do that. This feature was one of the reasons I thought that my problem may be my player. I had a problem with my player not recognizing The Matrix. I had to send it off for an updated chip. I think the problem was the follow the white rabbit feature which is like the branching feature on X-Men.

By any chance you have a Panasonic Player?

It's been well documented that some earlier model Panasonics are very problematic with DVD playback. I have a A-110 and it's been actually pretty good for the most part. However, honestly I don't watch that many DVD's to wear the thing out. But I did have my player skip whole chapters during the layer change on the Matrix. If I hadn't seen the movie before I would have not noticed it unless it had screwed up the logical flow of the movie.

I believe that there is some web page out there that chronicles consumer complaints about particular DVD players apart from the consumer review sites. Your best bet is to check and do a search for your player over at www.dvdtalk.com Forums.

Good luck.

Sounds like it could be a problem with the seemless branching on the disk - do the problems occur around the classroom scene, the Logan's room scene, and just before they get in the jet?

I watched it with no problems on my PS2 last night.
