Anyone have personal experiences with Anthrax?

Not the band.


I am writing a speech on Anthrax the bacteria. Has anyone here worked with or seen this bacteria? I have an ample amount of links on the net but I would like to hear some personal experiences.

I haven't done any hands-on work with Anthrax, but I've worked with tuberculosis for years (kinda similar bacteria...airborne, tough outer "shell" etc). I'm at the CDC and do a lot of work with the bioterrorism guys (they're one hallway over from my office), what do you want to know? I'd be happy to ask them.

No but my mom has and she explained everything.

It is one of the crudest forms of bioterrorism however it is the easiest to grow and obtain.

It requires a massive refining process over years and hundreds of samples refined.

Even then it is easy to destroy.

However once a person gets a refined strain it is hard to get rid of if its a refined strain.
