They also just came with a new model in the 8000 series which has an improved blade and a "flat hair lifter" too. Might wan to check out their site.

Mine needs a foil and blade soon, what I want to try is to see if the parts from the 8000 series will fit on it for improved performance, because like I said, it does not shave too close and irritaes my neck sometimes, however I do have sensitive skin, so this may not be a problem for others.

The 8000 are $150+, while the 7560 can be found for $80-$90.

On Black Friday at Kohls I remember they had one of the activators without digital display (8525 I think?) on sale. Wound up getting it for <$50 out the door after talking to a manager.

How long do the blades last for you thick hair'ed people?

I have a 5 o'clock shadow right after shaving, even with a Fusion. The Fusion shaves nice, but my chin was really losing a lot of skin with it.

I have the 8585 Activator. Thing says replace the blades after 18 months. Wow! I'm wondering if mine is already getting dull. It seemed to clear a path pretty well on the first pass in the morning in the first week, now it seems not to.

My hair doesn't seem to be 'adjusting' to the electric razor. How long does this take?

I'm close to my 30-day retun period with Braun, so can I get a lot of feedback soon, thanks.

I have pretty coarse and thick facial hair. I've tried both Braun and Panasonic shavers, and neither cut it (no pun intended).

Both left way too much stubble, even after going over the same places many times at different angles.

I also wasted about $180 on the Braun/Panasonic "experiment".

I can get a decent shave with a rotary Norelco. Nothing beats a Mach 3, though.

I would never use an electric when I want to look sharp.

Thanks,

Yea, but I have a shadow after shaving with the fusion. And that is shaving sideways each way.

The only way I can get a wedding day/interview close shave, let it grow for two days, then shave up all the way. However, then the ingrown hairs start.

It's a no win for me.

So braun users with thick wiskers, do the blades really last for 18 months? Anyone?

I've only had mine for ~ 7 months, but it's doing great so far. ;)
