Anyone have more info this video?

I don't have any info but I'd like to get more. Very interesting. Seemed that the quality got worse and worse though.

Damn, they're quick. But I wonder which is more effective, a blocking defense or just back peddling and dodging defense.

All depends on the situation. In a ring type fight like that it's based of knock out or points. In a bar brawl, that's another story.

Anyway, that file is on a WTF Tae Kwon Do guy on Myspace that hosts a WTF TKD group.

That is W.orld T.aeKwonDo F.ederation 😀

Edit link to his profile for those who have Myspace

tae kwon do is worthless in street combat. mostly kicks which are easy to block. As a korean i took tae kwon do for years and found it useless. Aikido is much more viable.

Miri, standard proper form of full range of motion and chambering punches and kicks sure. Many schools have incorporated self defense into their TKD schools. However, to say it's worthless is a very uninformed opinion. Coming from the country where General Choi put it together doesn't say anything to me.

Miri, I'm not saying anything bad about Aikido, I like it a lot and would love to start training in it if there were a school here. However, I'd like to see you block a kick or punch from some of the instructors and students I've trained with.

It really depends on the skill level of the practitioner. I know people who were experts in TKD and could literally wipe the floor with people in street fights.

Even with Akido, you have to be really good to be effective in a street fight.

Real street fighting is getting down and dirty, cheap shots, brutal, quickest takedown ftw.

yus!11!!

That was pretty cool. The monk's combo in the middle was awesome. Chinese Wushu may not be the best in a streetfight but i think its the most artistic visually pleasing of the martial arts.

on the myspace profile, it shows a TKD guy beating on muay tai kickboxer, karate guy, and the monk and Genki Sudo beating Butterbean in 30 seconds and beating Royler Gracie.
