What do you think about it? How much was the phone/plan, and what exactly do you get? Do you think it is worthwhile?

It's a shame that Sprint doesn't offer this service for their phones. I'd rather just pay a monthly fee than purchase a new freaking phone and espn phone service!

It appears to be

400 Anytime Mins for 39.99
800 Anytime for $59.99
and so on.

So It's in line with Sprints packages.

All the sports stuff is free of charge.

Up-to-the minute information, teams, players, scores, and stats No charge
Bottomline No charge
Gamecast No charge
Real-Time Scores No charge
ESPN.com Fantasy Manager No charge
ESPN Insider Content No charge
Scoring Alerts (No Video) No charge

It runs on the Sprint network, so could I get free PCS to PCS? I mostly talk to my girlfriend on my cell, who is on Sprint.

I'm not sure why ESPN demands that you purchase their service instead of just offering the service through exisiting providers. I know a lot of people that would purchase this as an addon but would never buy ESPN's cell service just for this.

I don't know anyone who has it, so I can't say for sure. But I haven't heard anything good regarding it yet. All I've heard is complaints about the phone and despite all the money and publicity that ESPN is pumping into it, they only have somewhere around 10k suscribers.

if espn could make it so that you arent locked into 2 phones (1 of which i have - the samsung a900), then the service would probably be better off.

Well the ESPN phone service is discontinued, they are going to start selling the content to other providers.
