Guys,

I want to know if anyone has had issues with this system. The system i have powers on, works fine, But if left over night, Does not turn on again. I reset the CMOS and that fixed it, But its a b$#$ to do every time. Do you think the power supply might be going out ?

If reseting the CMOS every time fixes the problem then you may need to replace the CMOS battery. Being that its a slimline system it would be hard to replace the PSU. But that is another possibility for your problems. You may also want to check the motherboard for any buldging capacitors.

the problem only persists if it is left on overnight. Everything seemed fine once the CMOS was reset. The computer is left on overnight, then it doesn't work the next morning.

I think PSU might be dying...hope it is so i can replace it !

i found the original part though, same model number, manufactuer etc. A bit cheaper too.
i mean, the motherboard to me seems fine.

To give you some hope...i've replaced 5 power supplies so far on those 'slim' hp pavilions. They are garbage and die pretty easily. Every time i've replaced them so far, the motherboards have been fine.

🙂
