I own a P3 800EB on MSI 815E Pro (6337) motherboard. The heatsink+fan is the one comes with the processor, and I have another system fan inside. I found that my temperature shown in BIOS/Windows App. is too high (49-59C). Rumor said that this motherboard report higher temperature compared to others. Is this true?

Anyone also have the same issue?

Thanks and hope to hear from you ASAP.

P3 700E and 6337.Bios shows 46-49deg Cel for CPU.MBM in Window ME shows 40deg CPU and 38deg system during idle.CPU is at 51degCel Max during load and system is at 42degCel max.Looks normal to me.Celeron(Not o/c) cpu temp will be around 35degCel at idle and 56degCel Max under load.

Yeah my MSI BX Master reads higher then the same setup in my ASUS P2B, motherboard. It is about 10 degrees high.

I have a MSI 815ePRO as well with a 700 cb0.
It reads fairly high temps I guess.
like around 40 when idle.
Hottest ive seen is 55 @ full load for 13 hours Oced to 840.
And I have a alpha pal35t. So Im not sure.
Mabey others have the same issue.

Hey, I thought i was the only one with this problem. Im have a P3 700 cbo stepping not overclock. It running at 34c idle and 41c full load with a Golden Orb. These temps are from MBM but some other software gives another set of temps which is always +8c. What the heck is wrong? Did someone email tech support? PLease help.

The MSI 6337 uses a different Winbond chip than the Asus CUSL2 or the Abit SE6. It definitely reads temps 8-10C above what either of the other 2 boards report.

Yeah, I email them last time and got the reply from them. The reply said that for PIII, the temp. is always from 40 - 50C, and they said heatsink fan plays a vital role on cooling (that's all know about). I also ask them is it true that the 815Pro motherboard always reports higher temperature, but they didn't answer it :(

I dunno where I put that tech. support email to. So I can't post it here. Above is the summary about it.
