I'm running a stick of this at its rated speeds with no problems. I don't know if it's really at 2T though, as there's no setting for that in the 8RDA+'s BIOS, at least not that I've seen. It's got settings for just about everything else though. I've got another stick on the way; should be here Monday afternoon, so I'll see how the dual channel works then too.
I'll say this - the heatspreaders might as well not exist at all; they use thick thermal tape, which might as well be called an insulator. Maybe I'll take them off and use Arctic Silver instead; they are a nice blue color.:)

egghead, wtf? You mean newegg, don't get the two confused.:|

I saw that too! Got my hopes up, ya know. The good ole Egghead days! :)

I too remember Egghead software. Isn't Newegg.com just Egghead reborn? That's what I've always thought. Sorry, that's OT.

ANYWAY, I did find that the Geil was my problem. When I switched to Corsair's XMS PC3200, I was greeted with an easy 210MHz. I don't need to know if it goes higher because I'm already satisfied (and I moved back to 200MHz).

GEIL IS CRAP!!!!

I had the identical experience as you and did the identical thing to correct it. The Corsair is lightyears better than the GeIL pc3200 i had that never would run stable over 185mhz.

Most of Geil is crap but this one is very good and special, can easily reach 500Mhz as my Corsair does!!!

i have ultra platinums, and i have had no problems at DDR433 with the recommended timings.

i've hit DDR460, but from then on, i think my CPU doens't like that FSB. so i'm leaving it at DDR433.
