yar i got flat feet. i think it messes up the whole alignment of my body... cause if i stand for extended periods of times my back hurts and i feel generally tired.

but otherwise im totally fine. play all sorts of sports. i had the orthotics done, but seemed not to do anything, and i didnt like em cause they raise me up in my shoes. if i twist my ankle like that... its game over. so i just wear normal shoes.

I've got flat weet and was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis a month or so ago. They said that people with flat feet are prone to this. I went in and got molds of my feet and they ordered some custom orthotics for me that have done wonders.

My mother has an overarch so I don't know about the genetic part of it. I think it was because I used to go barefoot when I was a child all summer.

I'm very flat-footed but I've never had any trouble hiking or when I was in ROTC. Actually, every once in a while I get a pain that I feel laterally across the bridge area of my foot that feels like the skin being stretched way too far, almost like tearing. But usually it's just one twinge of pain and then it's gone. I can rollerblade and iceskate just fine.

Is it true that you can't get into the military with flat feet?

My dad has flat feet and was rejected by the military because of it. Kept him out of Vietnam.

I've had flat feet all my life, but didn't realize it until i was like 14. I used to always have leg cramps and muscle ach's in my legs... my parents just thought it was growing pains. But I finally went to a foot doctor and he gave me custom inserts in my shows, my legs haven't ached like they used to since i started wearing them. I wouldn't wait till your kids are 14 if i were you!
