what did you use to cut it? i tried to do this earlier however the version of Virtual Dub i have doesnt work right with VBR encoded videos, and all the fam guys have been VBR lately, or at least the ones i have gotten

I'm just using VirtualDub also...
oh yeah try enabling "By default try processing MP3 VBR streams like Nandub" under -Options -preferences.

you dont get the warking when you open the file about it converting it from VBR-CBR and the wound being off?

possibily the one you have was CBR
