Anyone have experience with online Apple retailers?

So I'm planning on getting a MBP in the coming months and I'm trying to get around the Apple tax. Theres a couple online retailers ie. MacConnection, MacMall that offers rebates on their laptops. Most notably MAcconnection has a 240$ rebate. Does anyone have experience with these sites? should I trust them? I was going to wait for the back to school specials where they give away free nanos and sell that but 240 rebate is a much better deal.
 
I have purchased several systems from MacConnection, most recent was about a year ago, and never had any problems with rebates or anything else.

I would recommend calling them and asking about pricing what is in stock, etc. I have always been able to get a little better deal by calling them. Just ask them about any specials that might not be listed on their web site. Usually you will get upgraded or free shipping, or maybe another $20 bucks off. Nothing earth shattering but worth the phone call.

I've purchased all 3 systems listed in my signature from MacMall, and will continue to do so for future purchases. Never had an issue. Also, their Preferred Member financing is nice as well @ 6 months no payments, no interest on purchases over $500.
 
I got my macbook from mac mall... the computer got there fine and everything, and it was cheaper then apple. but I had to call them to "confirm my credit card" which is no more then a ploy for them to try to sell you on overpriced accessories and stuff like that. I didn't like that aspect of it, and there was nowhere to put the coupon code in when I ordered the laptop, but other then that, ti was a easy enough transaction... I would just prefer to not deal with people, that's why I'm ordering online
