Hey,

I dont suppose anyone here has installed dd-wrt on a router (asus wl-520gu in this case) and gotten the usb printing working through the router? I followed the directions here http://wl520gu.googlepages.com/ and everything worked without error. But i cant print.

running netstat it does seem to be listening on port 9100:
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:9100 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

(using windows vista 64bit). When i go through the add printer routine using the method described on the google page, it doesn't work. It fails to detect the printer.

The printer is a canon MP610. I did notice that when i try to print a test page, the screen on the printer lights up. and after canceling the stuck job the printer acted like it was going to start printing, but just sat there until i canceled the job.

also, some more info from the router:

Not sure what else to try at this point.

actually, i got it working. There was another version of the firmware available which apparently had everything properly configured. The only downside so far is i cant use the scanner on the printer and most of the other diagnostic functions wont work either. I have to connect it directly if/when i need any of that.
