anyone have experience with apple's returns?

I am sending an iPod back because the screen got screwed up. They said they should have it back in 10 business days from recieving it. I know with some other people they say that and then its 5 weeks later and still no product. Has anyone dealt with them before?

did you try taking it to the apple store? If its a current model they will replace it on the spot

its about 2 years old
