Anyone have experience with Antec heatsinks and thermal paste

Crap. 2-3C worse than AS3, don't waste money on it, I actually have two tubes because they were on $2.50 at the time and I thought they were as good as AS3. Now I know they are not.

Yes, and AS3 is just an average thermal paste. AS is electrically conductive, meaning dangerous. Ceramique is better, just got one two days ago and it beats AS3, I can testify to that. Things are changing fast my friend.

I use both AS3 and Ceramique, but I still prefer AS3 over ceramique because of the pasty feel of it. It spreads better. Ceramique DOES cool better by about 1-2C, but it doesn't justify the $7 purchase I made.

Really? Ceramique 2.7 g - $4, AS3 3 g - $5, both free shipping at svc.com. So hardly a big investment but if you are looking for pennies, Ceramique is cheaper.
I have a lot of AS3, some AS2, some Antec, some Coolermaster gunk, and now Ceramique, I might start selling this stuff.

What do you think of the heatsink and fan combo that I had listed above? So if I get the ceramic stuff.. should I just clean off the base of my HS with some rubbin alcohol and then apply the ceramic stuff the same way I do with the AS3?

It's a good combo. However, if that's a thunderbird processor you're using then it's going to have high temps no matter what air cooling you use.

The Antec Reference compound is not bad stuff. It is equal to ASII and slightly inferior to ASIII. I bought my tube of Antec Reference over a year ago and I have used it consistently in the meantime. It has served well even when used on overclocked AMD chips. If you need thermal compound and can't wait for the mail to come a few days from now go get some, it works.
